That's Hot!

While we were at the pool, I found out that I could really use a good pair of sunglasses. So Mommy and Daddy took me out to find some.

Too dark.

Too light.

Too big.

Too small.

Just right!

Beatin' the Heat

To beat the recent heat wave we've been having, me, Daddy, and Mommy have been hanging out at the pool.

I really like splashing in the pool,

taking a swim,

playing in the fountain,

or just chillin' with a toy.

After a good swim, I like to sit in the shade and sip on some water.

We'd better come back again soon so Daddy can work on his tan! He's got some catching up to do.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My!

This weekend I got to take my first trip to the Columbus Zoo!

Here's me and Daddy checking out the elephants.

I even got to see a baby elephant up close!

I saw some real, live goats and sheep in the barn. They weren't as cute as the ones in my bedroom though.

Daddy took me for a ride on this silly bike.

Then we all went for a train ride.

I'm not too sure about sitting with this guy! Are you sure he won't bite me?

RROOOOAAARRR!!! (Don't be scared, it's just me wearing a tiger's mask).

I had a fun time visiting all the animals at the zoo. I can't wait to go back!

An Update on my Buddy Drew

I know I haven't talked about my buddy Drew in a while. Don't worry, we're still friends.

We like to trade fashion advice. Drew's mommy always has him dressed to the tee!

Since we both move around so much, it's pretty hard to get a picture of us sitting still.

We're really good at sharing toys though.

Can you believe our first birthdays are just around the corner? Our Mommy's are already busy planning our joint birthday party. It's going to be the event of the year!

A Fond Farewell

I'm at my Nan's spending time with my cousins before they move to Colorado. My cousin Josh may look as big as me, but he's actually 5 months younger! I've been trying to teach him how to crawl on his belly.

Keep practicing Josh! We'll have a race the next time I see you.

We all decided to catch some rays in the pool.

Jack was a wild man on the slide!

He enjoyed getting me and Drew all wet.

Mike-Mike came over to play too.

We went and paid our Nan-Nan a visit.

I'm really going to miss Aunt Trish, Uncle Aaron, and my cousins. Don't worry, I'll be out to visit you and Sophie soon!!!

Captain Ava

I got to go on another boat ride over the weekend. This time, it was on a big ol' boat and I got to be the captain!

My first mate was Emma the dog. I liked pulling on her ears.

I got to go on my second jet ski ride (the first one was inside Mommy a year ago).

Emma and Uncle Pimpin' Ditty went on a ride too!

I tried on Uncle Ditty's hat, but I had a hard time steering the boat with it on.

I got us back to the dock with no problem. We had such a great time!

I'm Ten Months Old!

Today is not just the 4th of July, it is also the day that I turn 10 months old! It has been a busy month.

My proudest achievement is that I am now on the move! I can scoot just about anywhere on my belly. I still roll and I can now go from sitting to laying down. Lookout world (and kitty)!

I've also learned some other new tricks. Here I am signing "please",

showing where my nose is,

and blowing (I'm practicing for that birthday candle).

A whole new world has opened up for me when it comes to eating! I will try just about anything you put on my tray. I love most fruits and veggies, Cheerios, and meat. I'm getting really good at drinking from a cup too!

Although I look a little devilish here, I'm pretty much a happy, easy-going kid. Toss me a few toys and I'll busy myself for quite a while.I'm getting pretty steady on my feet. Who knows, maybe next month I'll be walking!

Happy 4th of July!

Today is my very first Fourth of July! I'm all decked out in my red and white (I left the blue to Mom and Dad) and ready to see some fireworks.

We thought the fireworks were going to be rained out, but at the last minute we headed to Dublin to see if they would still have the show. We ended up sitting right underneath them. Boy, were they loud!

I didn't like the noise at first, but Mom and Dad were there to reassure me.

I got more into it later and even started clapping for my favorites.

Like this one.

By the time the fireworks ended, it was way past my bedtime and I was pretty exhausted. What a day!
