(Not So Little) Drummer Boy

We had a mid-week visit to Toledo and happened to catch Jordan's last concert in the high school band. He has been playing the drums since the school year started.

Little does he know he's inspiring future musicians!

Taking Steps!

You may have noticed that there has not yet been an entry celebrating Lily's first steps. That's because, at 21 months, she has yet to take any! That is, until today!!!

Bagel and Deli!

On the way home from Carver's party, we took a minor detour to Miami University. We visited Daddy's old stomping ground (and Mommy's ultimate favorite) Bagel and Deli.

We could not have felt prouder, watching our girls chow down!

Maybe some day one of them will be a student there!

Carver's Birthday

Last weekend we took a roadtrip to Indy to celebrate cousin Carver's 1st birthday.

He had fun opening all of his gifts,

and playing with them.

I enjoyed getting to see my sisters!

Happy birthday buddy!

Rock Star

Ava got a little taste of rock stardom last night. We went to the Bogey Inn to see her former preschool teacher sing in her band. It took Ava a little while to warm up, but once her little body started getting in the groove, it was all over. Before we knew it, she was up on stage singing "ride Sally, ride" into the microphone. Thanks Miss Cindy!

Weekend Fun

Whew! We had a busy weekend. Saturday we all did the MS walk at the zoo in honor of one of Aaron's coworkers.

Then we headed off to Ava's new dance class.

Aunt Beth and Aunt Trish were spending their birthday weekend with us, so they got to come!

Tonight we're heading to the Bogey Inn for a breast cancer benefit. We will get to see one of Ava's teachers sing in her band! Stay tuned...

A Visit with Nan

We were lucky enough to have Nan (my mom) visit for three whole days! We were able to do many fun things while she was here. On Friday we went to the Franklin Park Conservatory with Marissa, her two girls, and Aunt Pat. The butterflies were a big hit!

Then we took Lily to get her first pair of Stride Rite shoes (in the hopes they would get her walking).

Then on to ice cream at Jeni's!

Ava and I treated Nan to lunch at the Morgan House, where we met Mimi and Aunt Pat.

We had a great time with Nan! We love her so much and hope she can come again soon.

He is Risen!

What a wonderful way to spend one of the most important holidays of the year, with family! First we celebrated with the cousins in Toledo.

The weather was absolutely beautiful, so we were able to play a lot outside- watergun fights, water balloons, and washing grampa's truck.

The egg hunt was extra exciting this year, thanks to a very naughty squirrel with a sweet tooth. That's why some of the kids decided to take bats with them.

On Saturday we headed back to Columbus to celebrate Easter with the other side of the family.

And we managed to get a little silly.

Jesus' love for us was very apparent this week as we enjoyed our time with family.
