One Month to Go!

Lily is now 11 months old! Only one more month until her first birthday bash! Lily has learned some very exciting things this month.

She has really gotten the hang of eating finger foods. She'll try just about anything we put in front of her. She also has been getting in a lot of practice drinking from a cup.

Her favorite activity is to roll around on the floor and play with her toys.

She still loves books. She has even started to "read"!

All that floor time has allowed Lily time to practice crawling. She army crawls very well! She can get up on her knees, but can't quite figure out how to get moving.

Lily is really catching on to sign language. She knows a handful now- eat, please, more, all done. Stay tuned for Lily's birthday!

Shawna's Wedding

We spent some time in Toledo this week to get ready for Aunt Shawna and Ryan's wedding. The ceremony was outdoors and the wedding was absolutely beautiful. Much of our family was together, so we had a wonderful time. Ava was excited to show off her dance moves (all night long).

Dad's Day

Poor Daddy... Things did not slow down at our house on Father's Day. Ava had Aaron making pancakes, doing projects, filling up the bird feeder, among all the other weekend Daddy duties. There was little relaxing going on.



Papa didn't get to relax either. The girls had him busy on the swingset.


We didn't get to see Grampa on Father's Day, but he came and spent time with us a few weeks back.

We are so blessed to have so many wonderful dads in our lives! Thank you for the love that you give and the example that you set!

Ava's Art Show

Ava went to her very first summer camp this week! She attended Art Camp at her preschool. I was very proud of her for lasting all week, away from home 9:00 - 1:00 each day. She had a great time working with many different mediums. On Friday, she exhibited her work.

Summer Fun!

Ahhhh, summer... We've been basking in the beautiful summer weather. We love spending time outside, whether it's at the pool,


at the zoo,



or just hangin' out in the backyard.

Rainy Day with Tiger

One reason why I won't be winning Mother of the Year- I thought my three-year-old would enjoy watching a golf match in the rain and cold. No stroller, no snacks, just a chance to see Tiger Woods work his magic. Ok, Jack Nicklaus was there too.

Ava at the 2009 Memorial Tournament, while she was still enjoying herself. About 2 hours later, she was more than ready to go home. In tears, she declared "I never want to see Tiger Woods again!" Ouch.



Tiger ended up winning the tournament this year. Maybe Lily will want to go next year.

Brynn's Graduation

My youngest sister Brynn graduated high school this weekend. Seems like just yesterday Aaron and I were babysitting her along with Deena and Ali! Ava and I attended the ceremony.
