Lovin' Summer!

It has barely been a month, but we have been busy squeezing every bit of fun out of our summer so far! Outdoor concerts, playing at the park, swimming at the pool, soccer camp, and Vacation Bible school are just a few of the highlights.

Nine Months Already?

"B" turns 9 months old today!
 
He is still a pretty laid back dude, but he is definitely becoming more active. His favorite place is now the floor, where he pulls himself around army style and gets into EVERYTHING he isn't supposed to. Check out that devious grin!
 
 He is not a big fan of baby food, so we have been trying bite size pieces of pancake, avocado, and fruit to fuel his energy. He loves to feed himself.
 
He also has a few more tricks up his sleeve, like "so big" and signing "more". Peek-a-boo is still one of his favorites.
 
 Another favorite place is the bathtub. He kicks and splashes so much that I usually end up wetter than him!
 And he LOVES getting his picture taken. Look at these monkey shines.
  Now that it's summer time, we are always on the go. "B" is content just about anywhere. He is always up for a new adventure!

Old Friends, New Memories

This past weekend we made our first visit up to Plymouth, Michigan. This is where our good friends moved last fall. Our visit included a two-night slumber party, outdoor concert, trip to Dairy King, lightning bug catching, swimming, playing at the park, and Wii tournament. We had a lot of fun making up for lost time! It's nice to know some things never change!

Happy Father's Day!

Although we were traveling on Father's Day, we still managed to celebrate some of our favorite Dads. We started the day by letting our Daddy sleep in and fixing him a delicious breakfast. Once we got back to Columbus we visited with Papa at his house. The girls treated him to a free face painting. We are so lucky to have so many wonderful Dads in our lives!

Teacher Let the Monkeys Out!

Summer vacation has officially begun for the Crane household. Preschool ended for Lily a few weeks ago, and Ava just finished Kindergarten this week. Here are some pics from the final days of school. Stay tuned for our summer adventures!

Over the weekend we day-tripped to Toledo to celebrate cousin Sam's 3rd birthday. It was a Star Wars party, complete with a visit from Darth Vader himself! We also celebrated the Maassel's new "pad". Who knew Darth Vader had a soft side?
