Bennett is Baptized
Bennett officially became a member of God's family last night as we celebrated his baptism. We were so happy that many of our family members were able to attend. Deacon Jim performed the ceremony just for us, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening to celebrate. Afterwards we had a get-together at our place.

May God bless you Bennett Edwin!

Thanksgiving 2011
Bennett spent his first Thanksgiving at Aunt Donna and Uncle Larry's house in Toledo. While we watched football, enjoyed good food, and had some laughs, Bennett was passed around to his relatives. He didn't seem to mind though!

Ava and Lily also enjoyed the day. Ava dazzled us with her reading skills as she read a book about the first Thanksgiving. She also fished with Uncle Larry. Lily just liked being with family.

We feel so blessed to have three healthy, happy children and wonderful family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving!

Life at Two Months Old
Bennett is already two months old, and much has changed since his birth! Since he spends more time awake, we are getting to know his likes and dislikes.

One of his favorite wake-time activities is being talked to and sang to. This is a great way to get him to smile!

He also likes to spend time in his baby gym. He kicks at the animals and is starting to grab at them too!

He adores his sisters and turns to find them when he hears their voices. They have been very good with him since he was born. They read to him, talk to him, sing to him, and love to make him smile.

Bennett has been a very good eater. He picked up on nursing right away and eats about every 3 hours. He usually wakes up twice to eat during the night. Needless to say, he is putting on weight quickly! Look at that belly!

He prefers his swing for most of his naps, but sleeps in his bassinet at night.

Stay tuned for more updates...

A Dozen Grandkids??
Now that Bennett has arrived, Nan and Grampa officially have twelve (yes, that's right- a DOZEN) grandkids! Jordan is the oldest, and we went to Toledo last weekend to celebrate his 18th birthday. An interesting side note, the other eleven are under the age of nine.
This was the first time that Nan and Grampa had all twelve grandkids under the same roof! Bennett got to meet his Colorado cousins for the first time. We were happy to have Aunt Gina, Uncle Rodman, Nick and Amy in town.
The boys enjoyed playing football outside while the girls caught up on the latest news. It was nice having everyone together!
