Christmas 2010

Christmas started at Nan and Grampa's the weekend before the real thing. We celebrated with the cousins and followed our usual tradition of frosting Christmas cookies.

On Christmas Eve we dressed up in our Christmas finest and headed to Mimi and Papa's. We thought it would be fun to spend the night with Aunt Mel, Uncle Tolga and Baran for his first official Christmas.

Santa definitely found us there! We spent Christmas morning digging out from all the wrapping paper.

Later that night we headed home to find that Santa had stuffed our stockings! We surprised Ava with a princess bed and Lily with a vanity of her own. Ava was most impressed with her princess umbrella. Lily likes her new CD player with two microphones and her sticker book.

We have been enjoying spending time visiting with family and friends!

In the Christmas Spirit

December has proven to be a very busy month as we prepare for our favorite holiday! We've picked out our tree and decorated every inch of it. We've attended a few holiday parties, including my family-friendly party at work. The girls decorated a gingerbread house with their sitter. And we've attended Ava's preschool performance, where she proved to be a star once again. All that's left is to wait!

Happy 7th Birthday Mikey!

We celebrated our cousin Michael's birthday at the Toledo Zoo today. What a fun time we had! Crafts, pizza, gifts, cake, and a carousel ride. Can't think of a better way to spend a birthday!

Turkey Day!

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at Mimi and Papa's house with Aunt Mel, Uncle Tolga, Baran, and Emine (Tolga's mom). We were so excited to spend Baran's first Thanksgiving with him! We enjoyed 4 days of food, fun, and family.
