Nine Months Now!

Lily is nine months old now, and this month was jam-packed with new tricks!

She is proudly sitting up on her own. One of her favorite activities is digging in her toy basket.

She can feed herself. She loves eating these stars.

She is a big fan of music. One of her favorite CD's is Michael Jackson's number one hits. (I have to admit that we all rock out to it!) She claps and bounces!

She rolls anywhere she wants to go and can turn around on her belly.

Now that the weather is nice, she loves being outdoors. She is partial to swinging, just like her big sister.

And did I mention she has teeth?

Lily is quite the talker lately. She says "mama" when she's in distress, "dada" when she hears his voice, and we think she says "Ava", but who really knows? She also can sign please. What a month it's been!

Easter 2009

As every holiday proves to be in this family, Easter was both fun and crazy! We tend to also celebrate holidays the whole week long. This was no exception. The festivities began on Palm Sunday with Easter at Mimi and Papa's house.

Here is our version of an Easter Lily.

Aunt Lo got Ava a Tinkerbell outfit, which she refused to take off the rest of the day.

She even hunted for eggs in it.

Lily finding her first egg.

Mmmmmm..... candy!
On Monday we headed over to the Schaeffer's for our annual (and increasingly ambitious) Easter photo shoot.

As Ava would say, Lily was NOT happy.
Then Thursday we headed up to Toledo for Good Friday and Easter weekend. We did our traditional egg coloring with Nan.

And we had a massive egg hunt in the yard.

Then on Sunday we got all dressed up to celebrate the holiest of holy days.

What a blessing to celebrate Easter with so many of our loved ones!

Bunny Hop

Saturday morning we went to the Bunny Hop at our church. All week long, Ava thought that this meant we would be hopping around with a bunch of bunnies. Even though no real bunnies were in attendance, there were plenty other things to do!
We worked on some Easter crafts:

Did some hula-hooping:

Hunted for eggs:

And visited with the Easter bunny!
