Special Visitors

When there's a new baby in the house, people come from near and far to take a peek at her. Now that Daddy's back at work, we've had a busy week of visiting!

Aunt Beth, Michael, and Jordo stayed a few nights with us.

Aunt Beth has the magic touch.

She took us to Build a Bear! We liked playing with "Spot" and "Diney" at home.

We also had a visit from Aunt Lo.

She brought us these silly suckers!

Mommy's friend Amy also paid us a visit. Thanks for lunch!

We are all so very excited to have my sister Lily home! Here are some pictures to show what we've been up to.

Bath time!

Isn't she precious?

Love at first sight.

I'm a Big Sister!!!

Mommy and Daddy finally made me a big sister last Monday night! Mommy's water broke at home while I was napping. Once Daddy got home from work, they woke me up to tell me that they were leaving to go to the hospital so they could have the baby. While I waited anxiously at home, Mommy gave birth just a few hours later to my baby sister Lillian Christine (Christine is my Mimi's name).

My sister Lily was 8 pounds 5 ounces and 21 inches tall.

The next day I came to the hospital to see Lily.

It was love at first sight.

I brought her a few gifts that I picked out.

Mommy and Daddy brought Lily home a couple of days later.

I am enjoying helping them out with diapers, burping, and just loving her up!

Isn't she precious?

Little Miss Independence

Despite the weather, we had a pretty busy 4th of July celebration. We started things out with a "bang" on Thursday night when we went to watch Red, White, and Boom. You can't see them very well, but the fireworks were spectacular. As you can see, my favorite part was rocking out to the music.

On the morning of the 4th we braved the rain to watch the Upper Arlington parade for the first time. It lived up to all the hype.

After a day of rain, it cleared up just in time to have a good ol' Fourth of July cookout with some of our friends.

After the cookout it was on to see more fireworks. This time we caught the Dublin show. I also had a proper introduction to sparklers!

The festivities did not end there! The next morning we headed up to Toledo for Jordan's graduation party. I spent most of the day on the swingset.

That night I caught my third round of fireworks in Aunt Beth's neighborhood. What a great weekend!

Getting Ready for Baby

In less than a month our baby will be here, and I have been busy helping Mommy get things ready. Now that I have a big girl room, me and Mommy have been working on cleaning out my old room and getting it ready for my brother or sister.

I've also been polishing up on my big sister skills. Here I am giving Baby Bear a bottle. Mom has been teaching me that babies need to be swaddled and burped.

I decided that I needed something a little more human, so Daddy was kind enough to let me practice on him. He wouldn't let me practice changing diapers with him though. Maybe in a few weeks I'll get to practice when I go to my Big Siblings class!
