Easter Weekend

It has become an Easter tradition to spend Good Friday in Toledo (in honor of my grandma). So that is how we kicked off our Easter weekend. After going to church, we usually color eggs at Nan's house.
Then on Saturday we had an Easter egg hunt with the cousins. The squirrels left the eggs alone this year, but a few birds decided to see what was inside. The Easter bunny even left a few money eggs this year!
We were back in Columbus for Easter Sunday so that we could celebrate with Mimi, Papa, and the Tomars.
Easter was extra special this year. Despite all of the egg hunts, candy, and gifts, the girls are beginning to understand the amazing sacrifice that Jesus made for us when he died on the cross. This year they felt the true joy of the risen Lord!
