Up North

We just got back from our first official family vacation since Lily's birth! We spent about 10 days up in Kewadin, Michigan (north of Traverse City). We stayed at Bage Bear Lodge (Aunt Lo and Uncle Dick's hideaway home). We spent some time on the beach, visited some cool places, and enjoyed our time with the girls!
We had some cooler weather, so much of our time was spent checking out the local scene. This is Elk Rapids.

Traverse City was a fun place to go. Lots of little shops and restaurants to visit.

The Friske Farmer's Market was up the road from us. They had a playground and farm animals for the girls to enjoy.

Ava is a big fan of princesses and fairy tales these days, so Castle Farms was a dream come true for her. There was so much to learn about and look at that we spent several hours there!

The beach was right in our backyard! We spent as much time there as the weather allowed. Ava's favorite activity was "driving" the jetski. Lily played in sand for the first time. It took a little getting used to!

The sunsets were breathtaking!

Mimi, Papa, Aunt Mel and Uncle Tolga came over the weekend. We went into Traverse City. We also celebrated Aaron's birthday.

We had such a wonderful time! It was so much fun watching the girls see and learn new things.
