Welcome Baby Samuel!

The Maassels added another boy to their growing family on Friday! Samuel Raymond was born around 8:15 PM. He arrived a few weeks early, so he was not quite as big as his brother Josh at birth (a relief to Trish). He weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and measured 19 inches. Driving to Toledo as quickly (and safely) as I could, I just missed his birth by about 30 minutes!

This time there was no ambulance ride, doctor mix-up, or NICU visit. Samuel was not in the hurry that his brothers were to see the world. He arrived calmly and quitely and has been that way ever since!

This is the man responsible for all of those boys! He sure is a proud daddy.

All three big brothers checked in on Mommy to make sure she was feeling okay. They have been curious about the baby, but still go about their business. Little do they know that they'll have to share their toys with this one too!

Ava couldn't wait to hold baby Samuel. She keeps asking for a baby brother.



We're lucky enough to be in Toledo for the next few days. Trish and Samuel are home now. Nan's already given him his first bath.

We are all so happy that he arrived safely. He is a welcome addition to the family!
